Upcoming Android Phones for 2021
There are many contenders when it comes to the best Android phone. Android makes premium, top-tier smartphones, and it is difficult to go wrong with any choice. The Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models have been some of the most popular smartphones in the United States. The company has already announced many exciting new additions for 2020, but here are the new android phones being released in 2021 to have your eye on:
1. Google Passport
Estimated Release: 2021
Very little is known about this project from Google, but 2021 may see the release of Google’s first foldable smartphone. The mysterious foldable phone may be a part of the Pixel 6 series. Because foldable models from other brands have produced so many problems with durability and creasing, Google is likely extra cautious in perfecting every feature of this phone’s technology — which will probably mean a mid-year release, later than the other phones on this list. Regardless, this will be a huge launch to look forward to, improving on its competitor’s missteps.
2. Samsung Galaxy S30 series
Estimated Release: February 2021
The successor to the Galaxy S20, this upcoming series has significant hype behind its release. We still know little about this phone, but can guess that among some of the rumored new features are a 4,800mAh battery upgrade, three cameras on the back of the phone, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset, as well as at least 12GB of RAM. This phone will have plenty of storage and battery life to look forward to.
3. Xiaomi Mi 11 series
Estimated Release: November 2021
Though there is currently little we know about this exciting new release, the phone is rumored to have in-screen fingerprint sensor technology, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and 30x zoom camera. Other exciting features are an infrared (IR) blaster (meaning you can use it as a remote control), the ability to pay with it when making purchases at a store, and a great 32Mp front camera for your future selfies or group photos.
4. OnePlus 8T
Estimated Release: October 2020
One of the most exciting features about this phone is its speed. Equipped with the flagship Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 and Android’s fastest charging solution (a 4,500 mAh5 battery), the OnePlus 8T will be great for gamers, photographers, and music-lovers alike, who do not want to waste any time waiting for a charge or a loading screen. The phone boasts a fifteen-minute charging time.
5. LG V70 ThinQ
Estimated Release: Early 2021
The next iteration in the ThinQ series, this phone will be expected to have as stunning camera capabilities as its previous counterpart. Other hoped-for features are an optional dual screen, great video-editing, and a sleek display. Processing power is especially important in this series, so you can look forward to an excellent Qualcomm processor.
